Slice & Spice Meal Kit Visual Identity
Background:
Slice & Spice is a grant-funded University of Florida research project in partnership with the Wal-Mart Foundation. A meal-kit service for low-income families in Florida, the projects aims to educate parents and caregivers on how to cook healthy meals, and provides them with the groceries and recipes to do so. As the lead designer on the project, I was responsible for designing the logo (with input from a focus group) and creating a color palette, visual elements, recipe cards, and nutrition handouts. I collaborated with professors, research coordinators, and students to develop the brand name, tagline, and logo, but worked independently to come up with the aesthetic and layout. I also worked closely with a print vendor to select synthetic paper within budget that could withstand cooking messes and ensure that photos were color corrected and files were ready for production.
UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program Visual Identity
Background:
The UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program has been providing low-income Floridians with nutrition education since 1996, but hadn't had a brand refresh in many years. I was tasked with updating the program's visual identity and bringing a modern, fresh look to marketing and promotional materials. Here are some of the print and digital collateral products, including a static image of the revamped website of which I collaborated with a creative agency on to develop the structure and design concept.
